oyster catcher

todays forecast ( or weathercast as a little girl in my wifes pre-school group calls it) suggested heavy rain by lunch time. So up earlier than usual and out to get a blip before work.

I had planned a nice sunrise but of course that didn't happen to order, so found myself attracted to a lakeside birding spot not far off my normal route to work.

A pair of oyster catches were sat on an small island that was about to get invaded by a flock of canadian geese, the oyster catch s made a lot of noise and put up a good resistance but were outnumbered and out muscled by the mighty geese. The hostile invasion was over when the the little birds took flight :)
