Venus
If you look to the east at around dawn you'll see Venus, the brightest object in that direction. It 'overtakes' Earth every 584 days as it orbits the sun, changing it from the 'Evening Star' to the 'Morning Star' that it is at the moment. As seen here this morning, like the Moon, it displays 'phases'. The ripples to the left of the image are light refracting off it's atmosphere...
