Windsurfing at Kailua Beach

We drove over to the Ho'omaluhia Botanical Garden on the west side of Oahu this morning. Unfortunately, it was raining so other a stop at the visitors center and a short walk before the rain set in we had to view the rest of the park through the car window. A beautiful place with lots of hiking trails that we will surely visit again. From there we drove over to Kaulua beach to have a picnic lunch. No rain but the winds were fierce. Too windy for a picnic but fun to watch the wind surfers. Next stop Koko Crater Botanical Garden with its beautiful plumeria trees. We had our picnic there and had a nice hike through the crater. We got caught near downtown Honolulu during rush hour so it took quite some time to get back to our resort.
