Turning right on red

Cyclists are always criticised for going through red lights but the Edinburgh roads encourage cars to do this all the time. Here, at Western Corner, if you don't go through on red, you don't go at all. Three cars did it before our turn. And it's the same in the opposite direction so that's 6 cars at every light change just at this junction. It's the same at Roseburn - 3 cars do it there turning into Stevenson Road every light change. I think the number of cars going through red on a daily basis must outweigh the number of cyclists doing it by some way. But that's not news is it?
