My old 80-200 lens

I bought this lens 3 1/2 years ago which makes it one of my longest serving lenses. It's a shabby old beast, aesthetically not that pleasing but optically lovely. This lens has no VR, no built in focus motor, nothing really except large slabs of good quality glass. I love it.

But the time has come to upgrade. I used it a lot in the studio over the weekend, where, for the first time, I felt a few drawbacks. The 80mm short length combined with the minimum focus distance had me struggling a couple of times where a 70mm would have left me slightly more breathing space.

So the time has finally come to upgrade !!
