Neighbourly Heron

Inevitably, I'd just removed the battery from my Nikon D300s for charging, and its memory cards were in my computer when Mrs C rushed through to tell me there was a Grey Heron in the neighbour's garden. In the few seconds it took me to get ready it had almost hidden itself in a shady spot, keeping an eye on my fish pond. That'll teach me to have a camera always ready! I'm a bit embarrassed that I haven't painted my side of the fence for 5 years too.
