The Falls of Clyde

Difficult to choose a blip for today. A gloriously sunny day and, after lots of rain earlier in the week , but not so much as to have flooded the walkways, we tackled the riverside paths, steps, boardwalk and steep climb to the falls of Clyde, above New Lanark. The Falls and the River herself were in spectacular form and the noise was deafening. As always with tumbling water, bare trees and bright sunlight you really only need to point and shoot, so we did.

For me, a really challenging walk because of the steepness and distance and with thermal, alpaca sweater and salomon jacket, I had underestimated the potential for boiling alive ..... But I did it!
