Fort Anne in February

In 1629 Scottish colonists came ashore at the site where Fort Anne National Historic Site now stands. The Scots' settlement was short lived but left an enduring legacy. The name, flag and coat-of-arms of Nova Scotia are all derived from this venture. The colony changed hands several times and in 1713 Annapolis Royal became the capital of Nova Scotia. Goggle the site for more information.
Our family in England and New Zealand have not visited Fort Anne when it is blanketed in snow. This one is for you!!!!
