Clan grave, Culloden
It's not Culloden, actually its Drumossie Moor, though Culloden is the name it was to become known by. We went up there on what seemed like a sunny winter day, but as usual, the moor sapped all available energy. Hundreds of men are buried here, most of them fighting for 'Bonnie' Prince Charlie - Highlanders, Lowland Scots, the Irish and maybe some French. The last battle on British soil. In reality, not much of a battle, more of a rout, in the end of the day, an inglorious massacre.
