Sunshine on Leith .....


The eponymous film was one of the offerings on the BA Boeing 777 in flight entertainment that brought me home last night from Doha to London via Bharain. This blip is taken from a BA Boeing 767 coming out of the cloud on final approach to Edinburgh this morning. After five weeks in the desert - or the sandpit - as my elder son calls it. I am really pleased to be home. I was pleasantly surprised to see so much sunshine all over our capital city today. We caught the end of the The Lanterns of Terracotta Warriors Exhibition in Old College Quad. I would have been very sorry to have missed that having seen so many stunning blips of it on here over the last 10 days.

The three hour time difference has caught up with me now so time for some sleep and a chance to dream of Scotland winning The Calcutta Cup tomorrow evening in Fortress Murrayfield!
