Me and my shadow

The forecast was good for today so I headed off early to Cairngorm. Unfortunately the early bird does not always get the worm. I skinned up on my skis to just below the summit of Cairngorm and hung around for about half an hour waiting for the mist to clear. No joy but it was a nice sandwich. I skied back down, although the snow was good it was hard work in the mist but half way down it cleared a bit and the skiing was a joy. So when I got down I put the skins back on and did the good bit again, and again. Each time the weather improved but the tops were in cloud still. It wasn't until I drove back down to Loch Morlich about 3pm when the Cairngorms were revealed in all their glory. You can see what I missed. Except I didn't really it was a great day.
