Fruiting Ivy

Lots of fruiting ivy as I walked up the lane this afternoon but this was the best, probably because it has its feet in the soil of someone's garden. I'm on an introduction to wood engraving workshop with Angie Lewin this weekend, so I was still looking for inspiration on my walk.

Lots of mud to wade through once I'd left the road. There's one particularly unpleasant gate entrance where the mud is well over wellie level and it jsut sucks you in. This time I tried the right hand edge and got caught in brambles and briars instead. I need to plan for a different route while this dries out!
