The First and probably The Last

I love seafood, but have never had the chance to try oysters raw. They are considered a delicacy.

So, I plucked up the courage, the shell was split open with a sharp knife, wiped, and I was then handed the half with the oyster. I nearly choked, as it was quite large and so salty. Chewed it a little, and then swallowed.

I have to say I didn't really like it. The salty taste has remained with me all day.

Well, I can tick the box, but think I'll stick to prawns and crab.

I did ask to keep the shells though. I've scrubbed them this evening, and they'll make an interesting textural close up with my macro lens at some point.
