Serene

Nothing stops me in my tracks quicker than the discovery of a new corner of serenity. When I come upon these nooks and crannies I instantly want to stop, sit, and just catch my breath.

As I was passing through a hallway today I happened upon this particular place of shelter, and as I normally do, I stopped and sat, and just listened. As I'm aging I find these moments to be invaluable and wish I would have been mindful enough to recognize them when I was younger.

Returning from work today I entered my home to find my sister dressed in all new garb and feeling awesome! My daughter had taken the time to reinvent her a bit. I'm not sure who was happier. My hands down smile moment of the day.
