We left the washing hanging on the line to dry as Nick's parents were returning to the house later in the afternoon. The car packed, we drove to Senlis, a medieval town just north of Paris where we planned to stay for the night. We had a lovely meal at a crêperie not far from the cathedral and were able to sit outside and eat, people watching and making the very most of our last evening in France.
