Roadtrip to Teewah Beach
Lucy and I headed to Eumundi markets this morning. Harvey got a lot of attention as usual. Bought some things for a picnic we had later in the day. There was a guy singing at the market who was really good so we got a seat and listened to him and people watched. Shared a lycee slushy which was rather good. The man behind the stall was very friendly and said to me 'what have you done mate?' when he saw my foot!
Max and Duncan had just got back from surfing when we got back. We then all headed in Dunc's car to Northshore (Teewah Beach). You have to have a 4 wheel drive to get to the beach. Took a 'ferry' over to the other side and we then had to deflate the wheels slightly so we could drive on the sand.
It's so cool, the beach is a highway and his driving limits and the same rules as normal roads!! The beach is 51km and you can drive all the way to Rainbow beach.
Found a good spot for our picnic, it was good fun. Then clambered on top of the 4WD to get a picture of disabled me with the moonboot!
Had a good drive along the beach, the picture doesn't show the beach very well and the colour as the sun wasn't out, but the beach stretches for miles and is a lovely turquoise colour.
We played pool at a local pub on the way back. Lucy showed off her jumping skills on a big pillow inflatable thing. She was very funny!!
We all had a snooze when we got back before scoffing down supper and then renting a DVD. Watched the Dictator, very funny movie!
