Run, Cullaig
Technique Challenge 8. Freezing the action (fast shutter speed/panning)
DDW's February 2014 Alphabet Challenge - H is for Happy :)
Had a wonderful 2-hr walk today with HV, PW and their pack, in a beautiful place I never knew existed only 10 minutes from us. Today was supposed to be a portrait of the lovely HV, however I got this shot of Cullaig by chance which was done by panning (following the subject with the camera whilst pressing the shutter, resulting in the subject being in focus whilst the background isn't - it should have really been a longer shutter speed to get more of the effect, but I think it kind of works anyway), and I'm not sure I'll get the effect again! I might visit HV for my portrait when it's the letter K, so be warned Miss K!
Cullaig had a fabulous time, he did very well with the other dogs and I'm proud of him. Looking forward to repeating this walk and looking even more forward to Miss K's Curry tonight!!
