COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS
Another great Blip meet today in Bath with Angelique and Mr. A, not forgetting Phoebe, their cute little Bischon Malti Poo.
I have been so blessed to meet several Blip friends already - with more to come - and to visit Bath, where I used to work, just added to the blessing!
Mr. A treated us to lunch while Phoebe sat under the table very patiently and was so well behaved. Angelique and I chatted - in fact, Mr. A hardly got a word in edgeways, but he did have Phoebe to talk to! Next time, perhaps I'll take Mr. HCB and then the men can chat together.
After lunch, we walked back down Milsom Street, and the only thing I am sorry about is that I didn't see the wind blow Mr. A's hat off and send it bowling down the street - apparently someone ran after it and rescued it for him - now THAT would have been a great Blip - so afraid I have to revert to Phoebe - next time Mr. A, next time!
All in all, a lovely day and new friends actually "met" in the flesh. God is good! I chose the title because Angelique always puts a song in her title because she is a singer; I sing too, and remembered that many years ago when I used to sing for Hospital Radio this song was often requested by patients. It's a very old song, written in 1946 but perhaps the world would be a happier place if we all learned to "count our blessings". I know what will be going in my Blessings Jar tonight!
Have a great Sunday and thank you Angelique and Mr. A for a wonderful day.
Count your blessings one by one
When dawn appears and day has just begun
They will light your heart with happiness
Make each hour bright and bring you gladness
Count your blessings one by one
When twilight falls and toil of day is done
And in sweet dreams they'll come again to you
If you will count your blessings each day through
Count your blessings while you may
For we are here but little time to stay
All around are hearts sincere and true
Lovely things abound just waiting for you
Count your blessings while you may
The big or small, whichever comes your way
For then you'll find this world a place of love
If you will count your blessings from above
