Keep off the glass
Today was another busy day; starting with a 5.30 wake up call for Mr A (who then had a very cold & windy outside broadcast to film).
I had my toenails done, which was my Christmas present from Laura. I like them, they are a golden-brown colour.
Back to home laundry and cleaning, with a new item on the schedule...the new glass dining table. We both love it; it's made the room look so much bigger without feeling cramped, but nobody can resist the urge to touch it!!!!
We've also now found some placemats; black glass, which match the base of the table. I can't wait to host our next dinner party now, we have had a couple of requests already!
Homework done & off to the gym in the afternoon. I have a new reason to despise going and it's name is 'teen cardio' which involves hordes of giggling teenage girls running amok taking selfies.
Not content with that, they decided to try out the weight machines (strictly out of bounds especially when it's the machine next to me ).
Being of a certain age old enough to be their mother, I could give them the 'look' which left no doubt at all that they really shouldn't be using the weights. One cheeky little pup however, made the mistake of asking me how you use the machine she was on. 'You don't' was the reply.
The staff seemed blissfully unaware of what these kids were up to, until one almost garrotted herself on the resistance bands! They were then duly rounded up and ushered back onto the treadmills.
Mr A was home mid afternoon, so after a little siesta he was ready for the Jamaican beef casserole I'd made to warm him up after work.
It's too cold for much else than snuggling on the sofa tonight, so we will settle down with popcorn, wine & 'Captain Phillips'.
