Set the bar(ometer) low

My wife bought this rather twee barometer in the style of a Bavarian lodge in Baden-Wurttemberg (which is in Germany, if you hadn't guessed) when she was a teenager in the early 80s. It's been on the wall of this house for nearly two years and neither of us have seen the needle drop as far over to the left as that. This winter has really been one to remember, but not for the cold. As the markings are written in German, a language I don't speak, one has to use the basic barometer knowledge that during good weather the needle falls to the right, bad weather to the left. I suppose it doesn't take a genius to work out what 'sturm' and (or 'und', if you prefer) 'schon' mean but 'Regen oder Wd'? Your guess is as good as mine...
