Birthday boy and Basset

Today has been a really interesting day...
Several years ago now Mr U&L and I were the lucky owners of 4 amazing Basset hounds, Flynn, Milo, Connie and Maisie. They were the most lovely dogs, and we enjoyed every minute of the 14 years they were part of our life. Since Maisie passed away over 3 years ago I have had a huge Basset shaped hole left in my heart and yesterday Robyn found a Basset needing re-homing at the local center we adopted Bertie from.
Well a few phone calls later and here he is! a beautiful, good natured, male tri-coloured 5 month old Basset who we have decided to call Fred.
He is super lovely, and a firm fave with all the family already.
So Today's blip is Fred enjoying a cuddle with birthday boy Arran.
The first Fred blip of many I hope.
