READY FOR THE KILN

These four are all my slip-decorated pieces. The one at the bottom (that looks a bit rusty) is using a home made pigment - rust, of course. The one on the right, that's mainly black, was pre-fired in a saggar with lots of wood-chip so that's why the clay has gone black.

Next week is the sixth session with Jennie and these will all go in for the first (proper) biscuit firing of the course. Hopefully by then I will have a number of undecorated pieces ready for firing too.

Then it will be glazing time!... unless they all explode in the kiln, of course.
