White Hyacinths

The supermarkets have plenty of hyacinth bulbs for only about £2. They are pink or white or blue, and are a definite note of cheer in the house at this time of year. They last quite well afterwards in the garden. I'm not sure, though, whether I really like the over-powering perfume.
