King's Theatre, Edinburgh.
Snowdrops or King's Theatre was the choice of images today. A bit of hemming and hawing. I like Snowdrops, but the King's Theatre won out in the end. It was a normal Saturday afternoon of visiting most of the charity shops between Moningside Station and Tollcross.
The theatre has just had the pantomime hoarding taken down and this was an opportunity to take a picture, from a safe vantage point, of the whole frontage of the theatre. I could have taken a more straight on image, but that would have involved getting run over.
I should also add that glow on the building is not from the sun. It was a truly dreich afternoon. The glow is from the lights on the building, which just gives the impression that the day was much brighter than it actually was.
Anyway, this lovely building is built in lovely red Dumfriesshire sandstone.
