Grove Avenue

Is not really what I'd call an Avenue, but a narrow, interesting little twist of country road that crosses Avoca Avenue (making for a dangerous blind corner) before straightening till it reached the T junction of Merrion Avenue. It would have been widened ages ago but I expect the neighbours objected to having their gardens abbreviated. I hope it stays this way, despite having to edge precariously past grid-locked traffic during the school run. It's a little warp, a segment from an older dog-eared map, a cagy moon in a scraggy woof of ivied branches, a snarl of streetlights and stars.
