Angry Thirlmere

Arrived in Cumbria late afternoon en route to a few days at Lakeland Photographic Holidays. I stopped at a favourite spot by Thirlmere. It's fuller than at my last visit and the high wind is whipping up waves that cascade over the wall, amidst very heavy rain . Funny to think I left home in sunshine at 8 deg C; here it is 4 deg and the conditions as seen.

No tripod, no waterproof cover for the camera (both in the car), instead, I am sorry to admit I simply took this through the car windscreen in between sweeps of the wiper blades!

I then continued to a warm welcome at John and Gail Gravett's HQ at Braithwaite.
