RETURN OF MS. RED-BELLY

The shadow of the suet cage on this red-bellied woodpecker’s chest shows we had a bit of sunshine today – although it didn’t last very long at all. I had a couple shots of birds fending off other birds at the feeder, but this one seemed brighter and more colorful – actually just a bit more cheerful. Besides this little lady hasn’t been around in quite a long time, so she won my choice for blip today. (The other birds are on Flickr.)
