W T Stead's Stone, Darlington

A few days ago, I blipped a blue plaque in Lord North Street, Westminster commemorating W T Stead, the pioneering newspaper editor.

Before moving to London, Stead was editor of The Northern Echo in Darlington. This stone, captured on my walk this morning, is Darlington's memorial to him.
