From Calton Hill
A great day to take the camera up on Calton Hill (although it was pretty blustery and cold, but dry and quite sunny). The walk up the hill was good for the knees. The trek back down again less so, and as a result rather than walking right to the end of Princes Street before getting the bus back, we bailed out when we reached the galleries and headed back.
So much sharp detail on this photo from Greenside Parish Church in the foreground to the Lomond Hills of Fife and Inchkeith out in the Firth in the distance. In between you can take in our own building, visible towards the top left hand side, those blue and yellow monstrosities that overlook Ocean Terminal, Leith Docks with a huge red ship in dock, the flats at the bottom of Kirkgate, the grain store in the docks. Etcetera, etcetera.
