Burleigh
Today we had a quiet morning, it was really overcast and drizzly first thing. Fortunately it brightened up a bit for our trip to Burleigh Heads. Another lovely beach on the Gold Coast with plenty of surfers and paddle boarders, and people generally enjoying their Sunday afternoon. We took a walk round the national park, walking up to the top of the rainforest covered hill for great views north up towards Surfer's Paradise and south down to Currumbin. The sun even managed to almost come out when we got to the view point! This photo was taken from the top of the hill, and because the views weren't as amazing as they could have been I've decided to share this photo of some birds. There was some discussion as to whether they were eagles or hawks but the honest answer was that none of us had a clue. They were very entertaining to watch though, and I think they were hoping to get lucky with the brave fishermen on the rocks in the surf below!
