Crash!

I was exploring the ridge track at Black Hill reserve, north of Kyneton when a huge crash came out of the bushes just to my right. I swung around to see the first of around 40 kangaroos come racing out of the rocks and bushes, bounding straight at me. I recovered just in time to fire off a few quick shots on my camera as they spun and hopped around me. Great little adrenaline rush in the Aussie bush.

South of Kyneton, however, big bush fires have started, so on my return to Melbourne the trains were cancelled - they would have had to go through the fire area(!). My bus got diverted two or three times, but eventually made it back into Melbourne.
