Winding Gear

It was off to the National Mining Museum at Newtongrange this morning for the annual photographic competition between camera clubs in the Lothians.

This year it was between 11 clubs.

Normally I try and get a decent shot of the mining machine at the front but I gave up this year.
Instead I took a couple of shots of the winding gear and the windows. I liked the way it was hard to tell what was inside and what was reflections.

As for the competition? ............. we didn't win.
