Lights and Clouds

The southerly runway at Stornoway airport has been extended into the bay and the approach lighting has been erected on the sands. From the air they are welcome sight in poor weather. Today however, they are not needed. A strong southerly wind has produced a line of cloud kicked up by the Harris hills 20 miles south.
