Rain a'coming. Again

When I moved from Yorkshire to near the South West, I knew the weather was likely to be wetter rather than the cold weather oop north. But this year so far has been ridiculously rainy, and here is the last area to get the atrocious rainfall which has caused widespread flooding and storm damage further into the South West.
The damp cold really gets into m' old bones, the ground either squelchy or just plain muddy like a widespread Glastonbury fest on a bad year. It's difficult for spirits to rise in this greyness, watching the approaching rainclouds, then getting the inevitable soaking.
I want summer and I want it now!
