I see no trains...!

What a nightmare of a morning! On a train that broke down this morning - air hose failed which means the breaks come on. Clever fail safe, but not so clever when it comes to trying to move the broken train. We were "de-trained" (yes, they really think that's an actual word!) at Horely and promised that trains would stop to pick us up. Couldn't even get on the first one then another two just went straight by without stopping. Finally got on a train the East Croydon (much needed pit stop!) where no-one had a clue what was going on. Caused absolute chaos and I didn't get into work until 11:30!

I get that these things will happen, what I don 'to get is why it takes so long to sort it our and resume a normal time table. They were still using it as an excuse for delays and cancelations on the way home - some six and a half hours later!

Sorry for the rant but when you're forking out £4k a year for this kind of 'service', it grates a bit!
