Night before my studio session to record my seventh album Those Old Demons at the lovely Preston bar in Leeds. All wood & steamed windows, fairy lights & hand-blown glass lampshades. Feels like the calm before the storm. My boys arrive tomorrow: first step is a three day stint to record the Hobopop Collective Trio of percussion, double bass & myself, playing live, the thirteen songs that'll make 'Those Old Demons'...
Time to sleep & gather energy for three fun & full-on days leading to 'sectional' recording of soloists & then another day recording electric guitars down in Northampton. It's an exciting time. Studio fruit bowl is full to bursting with wishful thinking snacks. Looking forward to some good times & some wonderful collaboration!
