13.08 Start sending texts to get photo pass or guest list for show.
13.09 Get 'not tonight' replies.
Gutted.

13.26 Text from my friend Sue,
'Are you working SBE tonight, Prince doing a secret gig'
Me 'Wish I was'
Sue (The most beautiful girl in the world) 'Would you like to go? I'll pay.'
Me 'They're £70!!
Several texts and a phone call later....
14.19 Head towards Shepherds Bush
15.02 Arrive Shepherds Bush.
Queue for 4 and a half hours. 2 lads were walking up and down the queue with home made cardboard signs asking the waiting fans to Join the Revolution #10poundPrince - You don't have to be rich to see my show.
It went viral on Twitter.
7pm (approx) Staff come down the line with free hot chocolate and rumours of ticket price dropping to £10 filter down the line.
7.40 (approx) Inside.
8pm prompt Show starts.
Prince (Looking eerily like Jimi Hendrix) : How much did you pay for your tickets?
Audience: £10!
Prince: That's nice
Audience: Yay!
Sue and I: Tonight we're going to party as it's 1999 (and a penny)
10.40ish. Show over, get gold wrist band for the aftershow.
You don't have to be rich to see this show, but you do get value for money.
Superb gig, no mobile phones etc allowed so all the crowd were totally focused on the performance. A phenomenal atmosphere.
His name is Prince. And he is funky.
