Evita lives in your wallet

The new (well newish) one hundred peso note bears the image of Eva Peron – no surprises there. It’s sobering to recall that Evita died in July 1952, sixty-two years ago, and baffling to know why her name still has such resonance, even without being championed by current President Cristina Kirchner.
