This day marked the 50th anniversary of the Beatles invasion of America. And it was well celebrated with a pretty awesome TV special in the U.S.

The show started at 8 pm, the same time the Ed Sullivan show began 50 years prior. It featured performances by many stars, and in the end, a reunion of Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.

A lesser-known celebration was held in our very own home, with the Crittergator foursome donning their own mop-top wigs to celebrate the auspicious occasion. OK, so the wigs ended up making them look a bit more like trolls than Beatles, but what the heck, we tried!

The "wigs," by the way, are Dexter the Tabby's contribution. They are bits of cat hair that he shed. I thought they might make good Crittergator wigs, and I was right! (Oh, the silly things we do for Blip!)

Me: Yes, I made their wigs out of fur that Dexter shed.
