Views of Trees and the canal from Rishton.
I was so thankful for this gloriously beautiful sunny blue skied day and wanted to share it on blip. It was my first long walk in ages.
I am thinking and praying for those in areas where the weather is causing challenges to the expected way of life. God help us all, and can we ever be prepared enough for all the unprecedented uncetainty of climate change?
My training as a Girl Guide taught me to BE PREPARED!
You would need to be incredibly thick skinned not to be concerned by the news stories reporting the weather for the past several weeks. It takes a lot of courage to live where the flood water is trapped and where people are suffering so much.
It has to be a community effort, and well organised to keep people united and strong, whatever party colours you wear.
Mine are Green and I do this because I love the environment and Nature and peace.
The signs of Spring are around us here in Rishton, and Reviresco, which means "I grow green again", our motto, begins to cry out to those who can hear. There are snowdrops, polyanthus, pink blossom, and many buds.
Near Cut Wood, I noticed a squirrel, and also saw a robin, blue tits and a pigeon. A lady was walking a horse up Thornhill Ave in the pleasant sunshine. I was thrilled to see the newly improved path near Shawbrook Close and St.Albans Road.
Nature is so wonderful and thankfully resillient in the face of all the changes.
I put together this collage of the trees and part of the Leeds Liverpool canal as that was my reason for a good walk today.
Have a good Monday blipper friends.
