Shweshwe
I need some new skirts for work. Today I bought three pieces of fabric and a pattern and plan to make these myself, even though I haven't sewn anything for many, many years!
Shweshwe is a traditional indigo-dyed cotton fabric which has an interesting history and probably dates back to Arab and Phonetician trade along our Eastern seaboard as early as 2400BC.
Hopefully I will soon be able to boast about the finished items.
