Worden Hall, Leyland, Lancashire.

Enjoying a walk in Worden Park this morning I came across this drawing/painting of what must have been the original old Worden Hall before it was destroyed by fire in 1941.

Although I have walked past this area on many occasions in the past I have never noticed this before and possibly recent structural work on the side of the building must have revealed this for all to see.

I really like the way in which the old building has been depicted on the wall and just hope that it manages to survive long enough for others to enjoy.
