Ted Admiring the Window!

We went to Ramsbottom today to have a look around the shops. We went into the library and couldn't miss this lovely window and it is one of three.

It is depicting Peel Tower and was commissioned in honour of Queen Elizabeth the second's Golden Jubilee 1952-2002. It was dedicated by Colonel Sir John Timmins OBE TD, JP. Peel Tower was built on Holcolme Hill in 1852 in tribute ti local son, Sir Robert Peel.

It was designed by Bryan Farlow.

It turned out to be a lovely sunny day even though it was a frosty morning.
