CAMERA NOVA

Back to my camera collection – this time the Praktica Nova 1B.
An original 35mm film camera, built in Dresden, East Germany during the period 1967-1975, it contained several new innovations at the time.

The film-wind lever was moved to the top of the camera and the shutter release was ergonomically positioned into the front side of the camera body. There are two coaxial sockets for bulbs and electronic flash.

With a built-in selenium lightmeter, the standard lens on mine is a Domiplan f2.8 50mm lens.
Nice to handle. A blast from the past.
