Hidden Glasgow

I had a day off work today, and my son is off school for half term. We decided to go for a walk with the dog through Linn Park instead of the usual visit to Pollok.

We walked along the White Cart walkway for a while, quite a strenuous walk thanks to all the steps, and very muddy indeed. Bella only jumped into the water a few times...
We went as far as the Snuff Mill Bridge, which dates back to 1624.
This photo is taken from the bridge, with an old tenement building on the left. It seems like another world, a quiet spot tucked away from main roads. It wasn't always a quiet little backwater, however. It seems that it was an important industrial site in the 1800's.
We've always walked back along the same side of the river, but this time we found the other route back, through the park. Much less muddy, and seemed a lot shorter too (but not as interesting).
