The Carfax, Horsham

I had an appointment at the Bank after work, and before I went in, I took this shot. Needless to say, I came out very happy as all this was borne out of a call to tell me I was paying to much loan interest!

The Carfax is the centre of Horsham and although there are plenty of shops, it is dominated by many of the big name banks. The name occurs only in Horsham and at Oxford and is of Norman origin meaning a point where four roads meet. Most of the Carfax is pedestrianised with areas where buses come in and out and taxi ranks. It is possible to drive around part of it to gain access to the main road that bypasses the immediate town centre.
