Why strange I hear your mind working, well simple, this is money lying here, there are more parts lying in the burn, just 100 yards from my front door. Whoever cut the pieces up just let them fall into the burn to be washed away. Even if it is not a lot, it would have covered the cost of the fuel to cut them up.
