Standby Sapporo

After a bad night's sleep on the floor of one of the rooms in airport with several other refugees, went in search of water, only to find all the vending machines were out. Found out later water had been given out to people but we'd missed out. A nice JAL man went and fetched us some bottles. Queued again but this time it moved and we got standby no. of 17. Turns out only we could go with hand luggage so after several others ahead of us declined we had a mad scramble to pull out skiing essentials - pants, jacket, helmet, gloves and were rushed off to board. Hope the bags arrive soon, only got one pair of socks! Lovely dinner at Tuk Tuk where Kana works - then bed!! Looking forward to good nights sleep in real bed.
