Ice festival

Have all these wonderful pics of the Sapporo ice and snow festival. Maybe too many as they did not down load this time. So only have this one from the bus taking us to our lodge

Enjoyed the friendliness of the locals found the headed rapid transit seats and heated toilet seats actually very functional in such a cold climate. Tried all sorts of interesting food

Sapporo has about 5 m of snow each winter. Hence the festival. Also see them trucking away snow. There is a limit as to how high you can pile it by the road and footpath
