But, then again . . . . .

Through the Window.

We went to the Scottish Ornithologists' Club just outside Aberlady this morning to see an embroidery exhibition, we know some of the artists (they exhibit there regularly) and it was an interesting show. I looked at some Laurie Campbell prints that were, coincidentally, for sale; they were excellent, as you would expect from such a well known natural history photographer. I was intrigued that a picture of a Hooper Swan that appeared to have had it's neck stretched in Photoshop for artistic/humorous effect - not the sort of behaviour you would expect from such a respected naturalist. I mentioned this to the caretaker who said I could go and ask the man himself, he was eating his play piece in their library. I didn't have the courage to take up the offer as he was actually taking a photography course and it didn't seem appropriate to interrupt.

Lunch of tepid soup was had at a local cafe frequented by the cycle club so we'll think twice about going there again.

The next stop was Fenton Barns to look at some furniture that we couldn't afford and where there is a good cafe. The blip was taken from the car looking into the cafe while Mrs TD went to conduct some nefarious business of her own - it could have been expensive but, fortunately, the establishment was closed.
